As an active 48 year old guy Peter's stretch/strengthen method is coming at the right time for me. Most of my life I've done wieght training and biking to stay in shape but more recently have been looking for a way to incorporate more stretching without sacrificing tone. The new method I'm learning about, requires almost no equipment, can be modified to accomodate indiviual limitations and addresses both strength and flexibility needs. Peter is very generous with his personal attention esp. when it comes to adapting the movements and providing alternatives when my range of motion is comprimised due to injury. It's also reassuring to know that the Meridian Meth. is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Peter's knowledge of physiology and capactiy to modify the methods in order to dial up or down the intenstiy level. I also get a lift from the class because the participants are friendly and encouraging and Peter keeps it lively with his sense of humor. Also wanted to ask those out there if they can recommend an orthopedic MD. Was always hoping I could avoid the hip replacement surgery recommended 2 yrs. ago (moderate degen. arthritis) and have been faithfully practicing the healing strategies recommended from a doctor who thought I probably had Tension Myositis Syndrome(TMS). Been following those practices for about 6 mos. with significant but limited success...the stiffness and limited range of motion persists. Anyway, if any of you have recommendations I would be interesting in your input. That's it for now. DavidP.
